Ricardo Carvalho Calero: Ciencia, literatura e nación is a collection of essays based on papers delivered at the conference of the same name held at the University of A Coruña, 23-26 November 2010.

The conference provided a lively forum for debate among specialists in the life and work of Carvalho Calero, covering a range of themes, including: the diversity of genres explored by the author in his work; the immense canon of Galician literary criticism he created during his lifetime; his promotion of all aspects of Galician language, culture and literature, and the once essential Gramática elemental, among others.
