Lingua e Comunicación is a collection of essays based on papers presented at the 4th Language in Use Conference held at the University of A Coruña on 7-9 November 2009.

The essays in the volume report serious shortcomings in the quantitative presence of Galician in the media, though more positive progress with respect to the quality of the language used, notwithstanding the need and scope for further improvement in this area.
