The period of literary transition in Galicia between the 19th and 20th centuries is represented by a group of poets whose common historical experience and artistic tendencies led Méndez Ferrín to dub them the ‘Crossover Generation’. The latest volume in the A nosa literatura series features work by some of the group’s leading figures, including Antonio Noriega Varela, Francisca Herrera Garrido, Ramón Cabanillas, Gonzalo López Abente and Xerardo Álvarez Limeses, together with the first prose play in Galician and one of the most important works in the canon of Galician drama: A Ponte, by Manuel Lugrís Freire.
