Lingua de calidade proposes a series of strategies aimed at halting the invasive, denaturalising influence of Castilian Spanish on Galician, in order to rebuild, refine and raise the standard of the language. While many of the proposals focus on linguistic and grammatical aspects of the question (phonetics, morphology, syntax, lexicon, pragmatics, etc.), others address the problem of linguistic self-esteem, exposing the myths and prejudices surrounding the history of Galician and the state of the language today.

The best guarantee of the future of the Galician language is to raise the standard, promote its written and oral use, and encourage people to take pride in their linguistic heritage and responsibility for its survival.
