Xosé Ramón Freixeiro Mato has produced a meticulously researched edition of the collected works of Antonio Noriega Varela, together with a detailed new study of the author’s life and work. Building on the groundwork laid by his own PhD thesis (University of A Coruña, 1992), Freixeiro Mato’s two-volume bio-bibliographical collection and analysis is the result of extensive research and tracing of records in public and private libraries and archives in Galicia and Portugal, and the retrieval of work from specialist and generalist publications at home and abroad.
